Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Python and AWS infrastructure
- Lead feature development on our React-based customer dashboard with 50k+ daily active users
- Optimize database performance and implement CI/CD pipelines for weekend deployment cycles
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical documentation
- Participate in agile sprint planning and retrospectives for weekend team cadence
- Contribute to 24/7 on-call rotation for production systems
- Drive code quality through automated testing and peer reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expert proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3)
- Proven track record with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with async communication
- Portfolio demonstrating complex full-stack projects
