Responsibilities
- Monitor equity options trading systems and network traffic for anomalies, intrusions, or unauthorized access during the weekend shift.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on financial trading APIs and databases.
- Respond to and triage security incidents escalated from the Florida operations center.
- Execute critical patch management and system maintenance updates outside of peak trading hours.
- Conduct security audits on legacy equity trading software to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document security incidents, root causes, and resolution steps in the SIEM.
- Collaborate with the local Charlotte team and remote Florida staff to align security protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on financial services or equity options trading systems.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Bash scripting, and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during the weekend shift.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption, and secure data handling.
- Willingness to support on-call rotation for weekend emergencies.
