About the Company: Detroit Digital Innovations is a leading technology consultancy driving the digital transformation of the Motor City. We specialize in building scalable web and mobile applications for startups and Fortune 500 companies. We are currently looking for a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time UX Designer to join our close-knit team.
The Role:
In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to shape the user experience of cutting-edge products. You will work remotely (or in-office based on mutual agreement) and collaborate directly with product managers and developers to ensure our digital solutions are not only functional but intuitive and delightful to use.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather actionable insights.
- Create wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, and user flows using Figma and Sketch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user requirements and translate them into intuitive design concepts.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and data analysis to improve conversion rates and user satisfaction.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and the development team effectively.
- Maintain and update design systems and style guides to ensure visual consistency.
Qualifications
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a clear design process and expertise in UX/UI design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Strong understanding of information architecture and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
