Responsibilities
- Manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain robust security frameworks including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Perform proactive system monitoring, patch management, and disaster recovery testing
- Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for operational efficiency
- Document IT assets, configurations, and procedures in compliance with ISO 27001 standards
- Lead system upgrades and migrations with zero-downtime methodologies
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and train end-users on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory environments
- Expert knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Cisco networking
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python) for automation tasks
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery planning
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues under pressure
