Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions during weekend maintenance windows.
- Maintain and optimize existing codebases to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical systems.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing scripts to streamline deployment processes.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and API integrations.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers during shift hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in a top tech environment.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go (must be willing to work with our primary stack).
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Google Cloud.
- Ability to work independently and effectively during weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
