Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Design, code, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern technologies and best practices.
- System Optimization: Analyze system bottlenecks and implement performance improvements to ensure 99.9% uptime during peak weekend loads.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and QA Engineers to define requirements and deliver features on time.
- Code Review: Conduct rigorous peer code reviews to ensure code quality, security standards, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, especially during critical system windows.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, API specs, and deployment guides to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in a Weekend Shift or 24/7 support environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, along with experience in React, Node.js, or AWS.
- Remote Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid setting with excellent communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges independently.
- Availability: Must be willing and available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
