Responsibilities
- Design, test, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) including GPT-4, Claude, and custom models
- Develop prompt engineering frameworks to improve AI output accuracy, creativity, and alignment with business objectives
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate prompt-based solutions into production systems
- Conduct A/B testing on prompt variations to identify performance improvements
- Create documentation and best practices for prompt engineering methodologies
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry advancements
- Mentor junior engineers on prompt optimization techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in prompt engineering or NLP with proven portfolio of AI projects
- Expertise in designing prompts for GPT, Claude, and open-source LLMs
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and attention mechanisms
- Experience with prompt debugging, evaluation metrics, and output validation
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Familiarity with Python and prompt engineering libraries (LangChain, Hugging Face)
