Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to proactively identify weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Develop and enforce robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Lead post-incident analysis and root cause determination to improve defensive capabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
