Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) 24/7 during night shifts to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Analyze security alerts and logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) to identify potential breaches.
- Conduct forensic investigations into security incidents and provide detailed post-incident reports.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to ensure seamless handover of ongoing investigations and alerts.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, CISM, or GIAC GCIH.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proven experience with threat hunting and incident response methodologies.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) or night-only schedules.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
