Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds and Cisco Prime tools
- Resolve network outages within SLA targets (2-hour response, 4-hour resolution)
- Implement security protocols (NAC, VPN, firewall rules) to protect against cyber threats
- Document network topology and create/update technical documentation
- Collaborate with cloud engineers on hybrid cloud integration projects
- Train junior staff on network troubleshooting best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in Cisco (IOS/NX-OS) and Juniper (Junos) platforms
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configurations
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Palo Alto, Cisco Viptela)
- Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Ability to lift 30lbs for equipment installation
- Valid Ohio driver's license for client site visits
