Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Investigate and remediate advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malware
- Manage security awareness training programs for employees
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required), OSCP (preferred)
- Expert proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption technologies
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
- Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision
