Fortress Cyber Defense is expanding our elite Threat Detection team in Jacksonville, FL, and we are urgently looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our high-availability operations. Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) activity during weekend shifts to detect and mitigate threats in real-time.
- Analyze security alerts and logs from SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar) to identify potential breaches and false positives.
- Conduct forensic analysis and incident response for security incidents occurring during off-hours.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with NIST and CIS controls.
- Collaborate with the team to improve threat detection strategies and automate response workflows.
- Document security findings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SOC or Incident Response role.
- Availability to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday-Monday or Saturday-Tuesday).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and network security protocols.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus.
