Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Investigate suspicious network activity and perform forensic analysis when required.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure application architecture and data flow.
- Manage user access controls and identity management protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
