Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations and threat analysis to determine attack vectors
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive incident response reports and remediation plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Develop security awareness training materials for employees
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC environment
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence sources and threat hunting techniques
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
