Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor network traffic and systems 24/7 to identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats in real-time.
- Security Operations: Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to ensure robust defense.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Compliance & Audits: Conduct regular security audits and ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Penetration Testing: Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Linux, and Windows administration; deep understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
