Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization (VMware/KVM)
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure with emphasis on automation (Ansible/Terraform)
- Monitor system performance using Nagios/Zabbix and optimize resource utilization
- Lead security hardening initiatives including patch management and compliance auditing
- Provide tier-3 support for complex system incidents and disaster recovery scenarios
- Document infrastructure architecture and create operational runbooks
- Mentor junior administrators and implement best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows environments
- Expert-level AWS/Azure certification (Solutions Architect or equivalent)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) and automation tools
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Security certifications (CISSP/Security+) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
