What You Will Do:
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance software applications from the ground up.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate complex requirements into elegant code.
- Maintain and improve the performance, reliability, and security of our core platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software solutions using modern frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define feature requirements and deliverables.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance optimization.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a production environment.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the technical roadmap.
- Optimize application performance and ensure seamless user experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development (Java, Python, or JavaScript preferred).
- Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language and deep understanding of software architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
- Willingness to relocate to Chicago, Illinois.
