Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analysis for security breaches.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden systems.
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or threat intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and Windows environments.
- Experience with Python or scripting for automation.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
