Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response and threat hunting activities
- Develop and implement security controls for cloud and on-premises environments
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps
- Create detailed security incident reports and documentation
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, threat intelligence, or incident response
- CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency with cloud security tools (AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel)
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with security automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
- Eligibility for US government clearance (if applicable)
