Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced threat detection systems using Splunk and Darktrace
- Lead incident response for sophisticated APT attacks with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53 and NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500 regulations
- Mentor junior security analysts and document security procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in threat detection/response
- Certifications: CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent (CEH acceptable)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network segmentation
- Experience with SIEM implementation and threat hunting
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash) and Linux administration
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements
- Ability to handle high-pressure incident scenarios
- US citizenship or valid work authorization required
