Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to alerts in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS regulatory standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption solutions
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed forensic reports
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency with security tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Metasploit, and Nessus
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis techniques
