Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations
- Implement and maintain network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
