Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Develop incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Lead security awareness training for employees
- Analyze emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, SOC, or penetration testing
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required
- Expertise in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto)
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Ability to work under pressure with urgent incident response
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
