Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Manage firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems
- Lead threat hunting operations to identify sophisticated attack patterns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in network protocols, TCP/IP, and Windows/Linux systems
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
