Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Implement and monitor security protocols for network infrastructure, firewalls, and access controls
- Perform system health checks, patch management, and capacity planning for enterprise systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate disaster recovery procedures
- Document IT processes and maintain accurate system documentation
- Support end-user hardware/software needs across 50+ workstations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification required
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Proven ability to document complex technical processes and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
