Responsibilities
- Server Administration: Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers, ensuring high availability and performance optimization for Linux and Windows environments.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee AWS/Azure deployments, manage virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and implement robust disaster recovery strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, manage firewalls, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure adherence to IT security best practices.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine administrative tasks and streamline operations.
- Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity, DNS, and routing problems.
- System Updates: Plan and execute system patches, upgrades, and migrations with minimal business disruption.
- End-User Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and guidance to internal staff, ensuring seamless IT operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a related IT infrastructure role.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in managing Red Hat/CentOS Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Scripting: Advanced ability to write and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Networking: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and network topology.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
