Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect organizational assets
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and ensure business continuity
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues with minimal downtime
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python/PowerShell)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and services
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical knowledge base
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in system administration with Windows/Linux environments
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms
- Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or MCSA) highly valued
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and scripting automation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize critical incidents
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
