- Develop and execute 2026+ innovation roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead ideation workshops for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budgets through compelling business cases
- Mentor senior engineers and product managers on innovation methodologies
- Establish strategic partnerships with Silicon Valley tech leaders and academic institutions
- Present quarterly innovation portfolios to C-suite and board members
- Drive patent portfolio expansion with 15+ new IP filings annually
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record scaling disruptive products to $100M+ ARR
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business
- Expertise in agile development, lean startup, and design thinking
- Strong network within venture capital and tech innovation ecosystems
- Certification in strategic foresight or innovation management preferred
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR/STTR)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for executive and stakeholder communications
