Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using Splunk, SIEM, and EDR platforms to detect advanced threats
- Conduct digital forensics and incident response for security breaches
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Stay current with emerging threats via threat intelligence feeds
- Participate in red team exercises and security awareness training
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (CISSP/CISSP preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network protocols
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional client site visits
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
