Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test scalable software applications using modern frameworks and technologies
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate testing processes to ensure code quality
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and optimize performance across distributed systems
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive system documentation
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript with strong understanding of OOP principles
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a weekend shift environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams
- Willingness to relocate to Chicago, IL or Virginia with relocation assistance
