Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute critical software deployments and maintenance windows on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and bugs reported during off-hours.
- Conduct code reviews and optimize legacy systems to improve performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to implement emergency patches and security updates.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all weekend maintenance activities and incident reports.
- Participate in agile planning sessions to prepare for the upcoming week's technical demands.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend or full-stack development.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Demonstrated experience working in a 24/7 operational environment or handling on-call rotations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- Valid driver's license is required for occasional on-site team meetings.
