As a Weekend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our release cycle, ensuring our platforms are stable, scalable, and secure during off-peak hours. We value technical excellence, innovation, and a proactive mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain: Design, code, and test high-quality software solutions specifically for weekend release cycles.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot critical issues during low-traffic periods to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Code Reviews: Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the engineering team to maintain high standards.
- Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines and execute deployments of new features and patches on weekends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and QA teams to define technical requirements and ensure deliverables meet business goals.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and create runbooks for complex system processes.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
- Infrastructure: Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
