Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend services using Java, Python, and Node.js
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure for weekend operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features
- Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues during weekend on-call rotations
- Document technical specifications and contribute to knowledge sharing
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven problem-solving skills with complex system design
- Excellent communication abilities with remote team collaboration
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-3pm EST)
