Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java, Python, and Go
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP for weekend workloads
- Lead weekend deployment cycles and incident response rotations
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for weekend deployments
- Develop monitoring solutions for weekend system health
- Collaborate with product teams on weekend feature rollouts
- Participate in quarterly tech sprints focused on weekend shift innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of production software development experience
- Expertise in distributed systems and cloud architecture
- Strong proficiency in at least two modern programming languages
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Proven track record of shipping high-impact projects
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable working autonomously during weekend shifts
