Responsibilities
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor application performance and database health during weekend shifts to prevent downtime.
- Deployment Management: Execute scheduled software patches, hotfixes, and major version rollouts to production environments.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues reported by internal teams or detected by automated alerts.
- Code Optimization: Review and refactor legacy codebases to improve efficiency, security, and scalability during maintenance windows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with QA teams to validate fixes and with product managers to align on technical feasibility.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical response to critical outages, providing real-time updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js; strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Tools: Expert knowledge of Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
