Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Write clean, scalable, and secure code for our core backend services and microservices architecture.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, application performance, and database integrity during night hours.
- Incident Response: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues or outages that occur outside of standard business hours.
- Deployment: Execute CI/CD pipelines, manage release cycles, and perform maintenance updates to ensure zero downtime.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with onshore teams and product managers using async documentation and messaging tools.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a high-load environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go; experience with AWS or Azure; strong knowledge of SQL and Linux.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work the night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Pacific Time).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
