Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java, Python, and Go
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP for 99.99% uptime during peak traffic hours
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Collaborate with global teams via agile methodologies to deliver sprint goals
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Troubleshoot production issues with real-time monitoring tools like Datadog
- Implement security protocols for data encryption and compliance (GDPR/CCPA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in backend development with distributed systems
- Expertise in container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java/Scala)
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Proven track record of optimizing database performance (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins/GitLab CI
- Ability to thrive in night shift schedules with flexible daytime availability
