Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems supporting 24/7 global operations
- Implement microservices architecture using Go and Kubernetes for high-traffic platforms
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL and MongoDB clusters handling petabytes of data
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins and Terraform for rapid deployments
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps and Security teams for infrastructure hardening
- Contribute to open-source projects and mentor junior engineers during shift overlaps
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration
- Strong background in distributed systems and fault-tolerant architecture
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Experience with 24/7 operational environments and on-call rotations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal oversight
