Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for our core equity options trading platform.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts to model and implement complex financial algorithms.
- Optimize system latency and throughput to support high-frequency trading environments.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with all relevant financial regulations (SEC, FINRA).
- Architect robust database schemas and implement efficient data retrieval strategies.
- Drive the implementation of CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable software releases.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical mentorship to the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ with deep knowledge of concurrent programming.
- Experience working with financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, or algorithmic trading is highly desirable.
- Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
