Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading engines specifically tailored for equity options markets.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate complex financial models into robust software code.
- Ensure system reliability, low latency, and high availability (99.99%) for critical trading operations.
- Implement and enforce strict risk management protocols within our trading infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Optimize database queries and backend services to handle massive volumes of market data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on low-latency systems or high-frequency trading.
- Strong proficiency in C++, Java, or Python, with deep knowledge of multi-threading and asynchronous programming.
- Familiarity with financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, or algorithmic trading concepts.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic market environment.
