The Role
As a Software Engineer at Veridian, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the core systems that power our real-time options pricing engines. You will work directly with quantitative analysts to translate complex financial models into scalable, high-performance code. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-frequency trading systems for equity options derivatives.
- Collaborate with data scientists to optimize algorithmic models for market volatility.
- Maintain and scale our microservices architecture to handle millions of transactions per second.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all trading platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to accelerate release cycles.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in a high-volume environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ with a deep understanding of memory management and concurrency.
- Experience with financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives pricing models.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
