We are looking for a vigilant and analytical Weekend SOC Analyst to join our elite Information Security team in San Jose, CA. As a critical member of our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), you will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and protection of our enterprise infrastructure during off-hours. This is a high-impact role requiring a deep understanding of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) for alerts and anomalies during the weekend shift.
- Perform real-time triage, analysis, and forensic investigation of security events to determine the severity and legitimacy of threats.
- Analyze network logs and endpoint data to identify potential intrusions, malware activity, or policy violations.
- Evaluate and patch security vulnerabilities within the infrastructure to prevent exploitation during critical maintenance windows.
- Document all security incidents, response actions, and system changes in detailed reports for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 global SOC team and Tier 2 engineering support to escalate and resolve high-priority incidents.
- Participate in on-call rotation and security drills to ensure readiness for active threat scenarios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), or IT Security role.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+, CEH, or GIAC GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and incident response methodologies.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, FireEye, or Sentinel.
