Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
- Perform triage, analysis, and response to security incidents and alerts during off-peak hours.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and threat hunting activities to proactively identify risks.
- Document incidents, analysis findings, and remediation steps in the ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira).
- Collaborate with Tier 1 analysts and upper management regarding escalated threats.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Generate and review daily security reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and attack methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays.
- Proficiency in analyzing logs and identifying false positives/negatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the shift.
