Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and manage the remediation of identified security weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform periodic security assessments and penetration testing support.
- Document security incidents, procedures, and system configurations for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, GRC, or Information Security role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
- Proficiency with tools such as FireEye, Snort, Splunk, or similar security technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during security incidents.
