Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux, AWS/Azure).
- Implement and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect organizational data.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and implement preventative maintenance.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash to improve efficiency.
- Lead server migrations and upgrades, ensuring zero downtime and data integrity.
- Manage Active Directory, user permissions, and group policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration and Linux (RHEL/CentOS).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly preferred.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or MCSE is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license for occasional onsite travel.
