The Opportunity: Pinnacle Systems Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our elite IT team in Omaha, NE. We are a leader in financial technology, and we are looking for someone who can architect and maintain the backbone of our enterprise operations.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be the guardian of our digital infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between traditional on-premise servers and modern cloud solutions, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and always available. Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain complex server environments, including Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server.
- Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize AWS and Azure cloud resources, ensuring seamless migration and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using Python or PowerShell to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Oversee backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and conduct regular system audits to ensure business continuity.
- Network Support: Collaborate with network engineers to troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or DevOps Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (command line) and Windows Server environments.
- Scripting: Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and firewalls.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
