Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server and Linux environments).
- Implement and monitor robust network security protocols and firewalls to protect organizational data.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and execute regular maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal downtime.
- Automate administrative tasks and scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in accordance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA are a plus.
