We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, IN. You will be responsible for the planning, executing, and administration of our organization's IT infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Linux and Windows Server).
- Cloud Administration: Manage and optimize resources on AWS and Azure, ensuring cost-efficiency and high availability.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls (Active Directory).
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to track system performance, health, and uptime.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and test robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime in the event of a system failure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Scripting: Solid understanding of scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Networking: Deep knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configuration.
