What You'll Do
As our Senior System Administrator, you will be the backbone of our technical operations. You will oversee the maintenance, security, and availability of our server infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical business applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS).
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code strategies.
- Conduct regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery drills.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and hardware failures across the organization.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Support Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or RHCE are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
