Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of on-premise servers and cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure).
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security measures, manage firewalls, and ensure adherence to industry compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (Python/Bash) to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust backup strategies, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the IT support team to provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for end-users.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in System Administration.
- Operating Systems: Proficient in both Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) environments.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and VLANs.
- Scripting: Solid experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Certifications: CompTIA Linux+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
